New NodeXL Tutorial – TikTok Post Networks

TikTok is a prominent social media platform characterized by its focus on short-form video content. Its diverse user base and high engagement levels produce huge amounts of social network data, thus providing the grounds for studying digital communication patterns and user behavior in contemporary social media landscapes.

Over the past years the large social media platforms have continuously limited the access to data for researchers which forces the scientific community to develop new tools to collect and analyze data. We have now discovered a simple and straight-forward tool to collect Tiktok posts and import the data into NodeXL Pro using the new “Import From File” feature to perform a full-scale social network and content analysis.

We have created a new NodeXL tutorial “TikTok Post Networks” that will guide you through the process of collecting TikTok posts with the Zeeschuimer tool, importing the data into NodeXL, analyzing the network structures, and uncovering insights into user interactions and content trends. This approach does not include comments to posts and replies to comments at the moment. But Team NodeXL is currently looking for a solution to add these to the network data sets. So stay tuned!
